Sedat Gülcü was born on February 5, 1991, in Konya, Türkiye. He took his first step into music at the age of seven with the bağlama. In the following years, he continued to grow as a musician through piano and clarinet training. His talent and passion for music led him first to the Konya Çimento Fine Arts High School, Music Department, and later to Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory, where he studied Vocal Training.
Since 2010, he has taught clarinet, vocal and breath technique, and music theory. He also served for three years as the director of Notist Music School in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, where he prepared numerous students for conservatory education and helped introduce them to the professional music scene. Through his online courses, he has worked with music enthusiasts from many different countries and cultural backgrounds around the world.
Between 2009 and 2017, Sedat Gülcü performed as a clarinetist and lead vocalist with the Istanbul-based group Velvele Band. In 2017, the band released the track Geçmedi Bitmedi. Throughout his career, he has taken part in numerous projects with prominent figures in Turkish pop music, performing as both clarinetist and backing vocalist for artists such as Erol Evgin, Seyyal Taner, Mabel Matiz, Buray Hoşsöz, Simge Sağın, Bora Duran, Metin Arolat, and Emre Altuğ. He also contributed to the studio recordings of Erol Evgin’s Sevdiklerim 2, as well as Buray Hoşsöz’s Al Senin Olsun Dünya and Home Sessions 1–2–3, accompanying the albums with his clarinet and vocals.

Having written and composed his first song at the age of seven, Sedat Gülcü has never stopped writing and creating since the day he first picked up the bağlama. Now, through his own compositions, he is preparing to present the first album of his solo career to listeners, bringing gentle moments of freshness to a world that is dead without love. As the artist himself puts it, his music resembles a modern Turkish dish infused with ethnic Turkish instruments, offering a contemporary listening experience without losing its connection to traditional melodies.
