WHERE TIMELESS ECHOES MEET THE CONTEMPORARY

Sedat Gülcü was born on February 5, 1991, in Konya, Türkiye. He took his first step into music at the age of seven with the bağlama. In the following years, he continued to grow as a musician through piano and clarinet training. His talent and passion for music led him first to the Konya Çimento Fine Arts High School, Music Department, and later to Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory, where he studied Vocal Training.

BİZ BİZE

AS LIGHT AS THE CLOUDS

Written for those whose greatest struggle is with themselves. It was inspired by the silver linings hidden within every darkness. Finding its meaning beyond what was expected, it surprised us, and even the clouds.

SEBEBİNİ SORMA

AS DELICATE AS THE NIGHT

Written with hopes we draped over ourselves, like the sun that veils the night with daylight. In a place where everything finds its existence through its opposite, this song found its voice.

HADİ BANA EYVALLAH

THERE IS NO ROOM FOR COMPROMISE

Written with the understanding that infinity inevitably contains an end. A farewell to loves that have come to an end; Hadi eyvallah! A bare, solitary love song.

YALAN DÜNYA

OH, HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU ARE

Written with the idea of noble lies said to serve a greater good. The floor now belongs to lies that hold on to blue glimmers, shining with star-bright hopes.

INNER AFFAIRS & OUTER VOICES

THROUGH THE ARTIST'S EYE: REFLECTIONS ON CREATION AND OTHER NATIONS

CREATION

I

Creation begins where the emotions of the self are translated as an ''other'' into my instrument or my pen.

IMPOSITION

II

The modern world, including popular culture, demands form from today’s artist: creation that is measurable, packaged, and consumable. I call this fast-food creativity.

CONCEPTS

III

True creation begins in the moment when the soul briefly leaves the body, light as a cloud yet heavy as the sky, watching from above and smiling softly.

ON

IV

Camus understands creation as a response to the absurd, for to create is to say ''yes'' to the world despite its meaninglessness.

EPILOGUE

V

To all those fortunate enough to ignite their own inner light…
